Since becoming a midwife I have wanted to work with BMS as I
see this as a way to help to improve my profession. From the time I was first posted in my
government job I have seen a lot of ups and downs and I have thought to myself
that if I could work with BMS I could support myself in these conditions and
help to improve the working conditions of my colleagues also. I have no doubt that BMS can give support to
midwives. If I can work with BMS it will
be a great opportunity to work with them and support midwives.
My commitment to all BMS member is that I was with you, I am
with you, and I will be with you in all
aspects. If I am elected I will
pay attention to the needs of midwives working in the rural areas, especially
at the Union sub center levels, as I feel that these midwives in particular
need special support from BMS. The UHC
level gets a lot of support, but at the USC level support is limited. I am working at the USC level so I know the
problems. My support will be to all BMS member no doubt but if elected I want
to make sure that USC level midwives are also supported.
Jismin Khatun Midwife at Companiganj UHC, Noakhali I am Jismin Khatun, a registered Midwife working as midwife
at Companiganj UHC, Noakhali. I am passionate, enjoyed and dedicated to provide
services to save the mother and newborn life including providing services for
adolescent and prevent gender based violence. Since my graduation, I have good experience to work as
midwife at Surjer Hasi Clinic (Tilotomma Voluntary women's Organization), as a
Midwife in Humanitarian organization at MSF Bangladesh, As a Midwife Supervisor
at Humanitarin organization RTMI, (UNFPA-SRH Projrct) to Help the Rohingya people helpless in needed. I successfully conducted more than 800 delivery and
successfully managed many obstetric emergency cases. I am the trainer of
Helping Babies Breath. I provided HBB training more than 100 Midwives. My dream
is every pregnancy will pre planned, every mother will be safe and every child
birth will safe. That’s why I want to work with BMS. Because BMS Voice of
Midwife. If I get opportunity to work with BMS that time I think I will get
chance to develop Midwifery profession as well as I will get chance to work for
all Midwives. If I get the Chance to work with BMS as an Executive Member.
I will work with BMS very honestly and I will follow BMS all rules. I will work
for develop midwifery profession in Bangladesh as well as will work for Midwife
Arafin Happy Mim I am currently working as a midwife with Save the Children
International in Bangladesh (SCIBD), providing quality full maternity and new
born care, and SRH services. I am motivated to be an Executive Member as I want
to set a respectful and strong image of my profession and I also want to make a
good communication chain among all the midwives of Bangladesh. Besides all of
this I want to increase the working capacity of midwives through BMS support,
while strengthening my leadership skills.
My commitment to BMS members if elected is that I will always follow all
the policies of BMS and I will also maintain mutual respect. I will keep myself
always honest towards my profession and BMS.
