Mission: As a professional association of midwives, the Bangladesh Midwifery Society (BMS) advocates for women's right to safe, respectful maternity care and promotes normal birth with minimal medical intervention. BMS supports its members through continuing education, advocates for their right to a safe and enabling work environment, and collaborates with national and international stakeholders, including the media.
Vision: By 2036, all Bangladeshi midwives will be members of a strong, inclusive, and financially sustainable Bangladesh Midwifery Society (BMS), supported by effective divisional branches. This robust network will enhance high-quality maternity care, promote inter-professional collaboration, empower women, and contribute to healthier communities.

The executive and staff members of the BMS will work together respectfully and politely. They manage time and resources well, being patient and honest with each other, takes own responsibility, embrace positivity, creativity, and value everyone’s contributions.
